KNIME Open Source Days 2013

2013/09/16 - 2013/09/20
Event location:
University of Konstanz

Following the success of the first and second KNIME Open Source Days (KOS Days), we are happy to announce KOS Days, 3rd installment in mid of September. The event is again hosted by the University of Konstanz.

We invite all programmers that have already contributed open source extensions to KNIME or plan to do so in the near future (please note that this is not a developer training, participants should already have a basic knowledge about writing KNIME extension). The primary goal of the KOS Days is to develop existing projects further in open programming sessions. A focus will also be the on-going development of trusted community extensions. During the whole week the KNIME Core developers will be around and assist you with tricky problems and give hints for improvements. They will also provide insights into the KNIME architecture and ongoing developments. Participants are invited to to present their projects or other interesting topics as well.

The event will be sponsored by KNIME and the university - equipment, food, and beverages will be covered. However, participants will need to pay for accomodation and travel by themselves.

Dates & Program

Monday, 16.09.2013 until Friday 20.09.2013. We don't have a strict program. On Monday after lunch we will have an introduction round, where each project should shortly present itself in three slides (who you are, what it is about, your two most interesting nodes). Please use and adapt this template. In addition we plan to give an outlook on on-going and future KNIME developments. If you would like to present something to the other participants or if you would like to learn (more) about KNIME-development related topics, leave a comment during registration.
