The solution:

Peak Ace used KNIME Analytics Platform  with KNIME Team plan’s automation capabilities to:

  • Build workflows that identify products with highest discounts and lowest prices by category to automatically update ad elements with the latest discounts
  • Create automated pipelines to extract data from JSON endpoints, transform it into ad-compatible formats, and store it in Google Sheets for Meta advertising campaigns
  • Develop workflows to automatically scrape, store, and push Trustpilot reviews to Google Ads
  • Generate consistent ad text across multiple languages for vacation rental listings
  • Extract property data from sitemap files for dynamic remarketing to increase conversion rates

Manual data manipulation for ads

Peak Ace runs ad campaigns for clients and identifies products with the most attractive offers or discounts to promote to make ads more effective. To do this, they used to spend hours in Excel manually comparing regular and sale prices across large product datasets to identify the most compelling deals to promote. This process was slow and error prone.

Another challenge involved running advertising campaigns on Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. Some Peak Ace clients stored their data in systems that provided information through JSON endpoints—a technical data format that Meta's advertising platform couldn't directly use. This created a bottleneck where team members had to manually extract data from these JSON sources, reformat it, and move it into platforms that Meta could access.

Additionally, the team had to manually collect product reviews from Trust Pilot to use in ad content, a highly time consuming process.

Automatically identifying products with the highest discounts  

Peak Ace’s performance marketing team built data workflows in KNIME Analytics Platform using customer product catalogs to identify items with sale prices and calculate metrics like highest discount or lowest price per category. 

These workflows are scheduled to run automatically every day using KNIME Team plan’s automation capabilities. The results are then pushed directly to Google Ads, ensuring potential customers always see the latest discounts when searching for products. Automation with the KNIME Team Plan allows Peak Ace to dynamically adjust ad elements – such as sale price or product name – based on real-time inventory data.

Automated data pipeline for Meta advertising platforms

For Meta advertising campaigns, Peak Ace created KNIME workflows that:

  • Connected to and retrieved data from the client's JSON endpoint
  • Transformed this data into a format suitable for advertising
  • Stored the processed data in Google Sheets, which Meta platforms can access
  • Automated this entire process to run regularly through KNIME Team plan

This solution eliminated manual data handling, creating an automated data pipeline from client systems to Meta advertising platforms. For example, a hotel client now has their latest room availability and pricing automatically fed into Meta advertising campaigns without any manual intervention, saving time and manual effort and reducing the risk of human error.

Automated scraping of product reviews

Similarly, they created a workflow to automatically scrape Trustpilot reviews, store them in Google Sheets, and push them to Google Ads, with the entire process scheduled to run weekly through KNIME Team plan.

Automated translation of vacation rental ads

Peak Ace also created a KNIME workflow for a vacation rental company that generates consistent ad text across multiple countries by analyzing sentence structures in one language and translating them appropriately for others. This solution alone saves hundreds of hours of manual work.

Automated scraping of vacation property data

Peak Ace also created a KNIME workflow for the vacation rental company that generates property feeds for dynamic remarketing by analyzing sitemap files. The workflow is scheduled to run on the KNIME Team plan, enabling them to automatically retarget customers by displaying ads that feature previously viewed vacation homes. The solution opened up completely new advertising possibilities for the customer.
