Disclaimer:

KNIME Analytics Platform 5.3 must not be used as executor on KNIME Server 4.16.x or before. KNIME Server 4.17.0 with full compatibility with 5.3.x is now available. KNIME Server 4.17.0 is a production-ready release.

WARNING!
Please remember that if you have Community Contributions installed in your executor, make sure to include the Community Contributions update site in the update-executor.sh command (see example below). Otherwise your installation may not start properly any more, especially when updating from 4.6 to 4.7.

KNIME Server Executor

Our executor builds no longer include community extensions, and customers are required to install them if their workflows depend on these extensions.

It's possible to use the KNIME Server installer to install the KNIME Server Executor, although in some cases it may be more convenient to use the stand-alone packages.

The current version of KNIME Server Executor is 5.3.3

• KNIME Server Executor version for 64bit Windows (Note: for performance reasons, please don't use the integrated Windows tool for unzipping, but rather an external tool such as 7zip)
  • ZIP archive 5.3.3 (SHA-256 5.3.3)
• KNIME Server Executor version for 64bit Linux
  • tar.gz 5.3.3 (SHA-256 5.3.3)

The update site contains all bug fix releases for the 5.3 line.

KNIME Analytics Platform

The current version of KNIME Analytics Platform is 5.3.2, the software can be found on the download page.

KNIME Big Data Extensions

Current versions:

• KNIME Big Data Connectors: 5.3.3
• KNIME Extension for Apache Spark: 5.3.3

You need to install the following:

• Extensions to KNIME Analytics Platform:
  • KNIME Big Data Connectors
  • KNIME Extension for Apache Spark
• On your Hadoop cluster: Apache Livy or Spark Jobserver (deprecated), see KNIME Big Data Extensions Admin Guide
